Job Title: Capital Construction Program Director - DSA, LAACD, Higher Education, $200mil Location: Culver City, CA Compensation: Competitive Salary DOE ($200,000 - $250,000), stock options, 401k match, benefits etc. Requirements: 15 Years experience in management of multiple major construction Position Overview The Capital Construction Program Director will oversee and manage the planning, execution, and completion of capital construction projects within the higher education sector, ensuring compliance with LAACD standards and DSA regulations. The director will lead a team of professionals, coordinate with various stakeholders, and manage project budgets while ensuring that all projects meet quality, schedule, and compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage capital construction programs for higher education facilities, ensuring alignment with LAACD and DSA standards. Develop and implement project management strategies to achieve program goals and objectives. Oversee budgeting and financial management of capital projects, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints. Negotiate contracts with vendors, contractors, and stakeholders to secure favorable terms and conditions. Engage with stakeholders including university administrators, faculty, and community members to facilitate communication and collaboration on projects. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards related to construction and higher education facilities. Manage project schedules and timelines to ensure timely completion of projects. Implement risk management strategies to identify and mitigate potential issues throughout the project lifecycle. Provide leadership and direction to project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability. Conduct quality assurance assessments to ensure projects meet established standards and specifications. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 15 years of experience in program and project management within the construction industry, preferably in higher education. Proven expertise in LAACD standards, DSA compliance, and regulatory requirements related to construction. Strong skills in budgeting, contract negotiation, and financial management. Demonstrated ability to engage and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Experience in risk management and quality assurance processes in construction projects. Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams towards successful project outcomes. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
