About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health
to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Riverside, California,
92501! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor
and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift:
12 hours (19:00-07:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years in Labor and
Delivery License: Current RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS,
NRP, AWHONN EFM Must-Have: Candidates must have AWHONN Fetal
Monitoring experience. Description: The unit features 11 labor
beds, 4 OB evaluation beds, 2 OB PACU beds, and 2 operating rooms.
There are 79 total staff members on the unit. The day shift
typically has 1 charge nurse, 10 staff nurses, and 2 OB
technicians. The night shift consists of 1 charge nurse, 10 staff
nurses, and 2 OB technicians. Patient ratios are generally 1 RN to
2 patients, and 1 RN to 1 patient during more intensive care.
Equipment utilized includes GE fetal monitoring systems. The
electronic medical records used are CPN and Meditech. The most
recruited skill set includes AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification.
Candidates with over 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience,
particularly in transition nursing and baby catching, are
preferred. Typical procedures performed on the unit include
non-stress tests, cervical exams, labor management, medication
titration, and the McRoberts maneuver. Ideal candidates will thrive
in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Floating to postpartum and
couplets may be required. Dress code requires hospital infant
security scrubs. Weekend shifts and on-call requirements may apply
as needed. Please note that there are no scheduled on-call shifts.
