Position Summary: The UCI Center for Clinical Research (UCI-CCR) is driven to improve the health and wellness of people in Orange County and the world by providing life-saving clinical trials designed to strengthen and accelerate the pathway of discovery from the medical laboratory to the Clinic. The Assistant Coordinator for Clinical Research Recruitment will work under the supervision of the Recruitment Manager and play a crucial role in coordinating the recruitment of potential research participants for clinical trials at the UCI Center for Clinical Research, ensuring adherence to GCP guidelines. This role involves a range of responsibilities, including outreach, marketing, and communication with potential participants to discuss study eligibility and details.

Required:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Great communication skills both oral and written. Ability to use proper English grammar and spelling. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of campus and hospital administration staff, faculty, and industry sponsors Strong organizational and time management abilities. Demonstrated evidence of successful multi-tasking and complex problem-solving abilities. Excellent organizational skills: high attention to detail, ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks concurrently, and function under time constraints. Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient experience. Experienced and comfortable on the phone, particularly in a clinical setting and discussing medical terminology. Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint Proficiency in the use of software and technology. Ability to independently compose correspondence and design spreadsheets/databases Ability to work after-hours and occasional weekends for community outreach events (time will be flexed).
Preferred:
Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred Previous experience in clinical research recruitment or a related field. Experience working on Canva or other illustrative tools. Experience with social media platforms, such as, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn Demonstrate knowledge of human subjects' research as it pertains to recruitment of participants (navigating a protocol, eligibility criteria, schedule of events, procedures, study timelines, study design, background and mechanism of action of IPs, IRB, recruitment materials, etc.). Demonstrate understanding of clinical trials and enrollment procedures within GCP guidelines and HIPAA requirements. Knowledge of medical terminology. Knowledge of OnCore or other CTMS's and Epic EMR or other EMR's. Knowledge of University IRB policies and procedures as they apply to the submission and conduct of clinical research recruitment materials and methods. Familiarity with University policies on outreach events.
