The Sales & Operations Planning Lead is a cross disciplinary role within the Starlink Product team whose mission is to define and maintain the overall master build plan for consumer and enterprise products which will enable Starlink to meet or exceed customer demand. This individual will coordinate with various functions (finance, production, engineering, supply chain, customer operations, and sales) to drive cross-functional consensus and ensure that all teams are executing against the top-level build plan as agreed upon by the business.

The Sales & Operations Planning Lead will control all planning targets and top-level master scheduled items, track progress against the build plan (actuals and forecasts), and liaise with relevant stakeholders to identify any potential configuration issues, production delays, or supply gaps to formulate and recommend mitigating actions. To be successful in this role, the Sales & Operations Planning Lead must be intimately familiar with the production processes, supply base risks, and program roadmap in order to effectively manage the build plan and influence senior leadership.


  • Define and manage a Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process for the Starlink Product program to review master build plan with the executive team and achieve buy-in for millions of dollars of spend and capital investment
  • Understand the entire production-to-customer system and processes to ensure production needs are accurately captured in the top-level Master Schedule plan while accounting for changes in demand and forecasts
  • Interface with finance, sales, engineering and customer operations to understand demand requirements and analyze impacts to the supply and production plan for all kits, mounts, and accessories
  • Coordinate efforts to align relevant parties of upcoming schedule, configuration or hardware allocations changes and verify systems accurately signal these changes to all teams
  • Collate, ingest, and vet forecasts from various suppliers to understand supply base capacity and ensure we are able to meet production inputs
  • Create scenario models to visualize and communicate differing recommendations and drive decision making with senior leadership
  • Champion continuous improvement projects using appropriate metrics and data sources to drive stability in the business and improve our service level in fulfilling customer demand


  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or a technical discipline and 3+ years of work experience in manufacturing or supply chain; or advanced degree in business, supply chain or a technical discipline and 1+ year of work experience in manufacturing or supply chain; or 7+ years of work experience in manufacturing or supply chain


  • Proficiency with statistics, data analysis, cost/benefit analysis, and visualizations
  • Demonstrated record of successfully managing complex projects/initiatives
  • Manufacturing or supply chain experience in a high-volume or customer-facing industry
  • Direct experience in a sales & operations planning or supply planning capacity
  • Experience using SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or other MRP/ERP systems
  • Experience developing and managing program plans and schedules
  • Experience taking in large quantities of information and presenting it in a clear and concise manner to senior leadership
  • Basic experience with SQL querying, data analytics, and visualization
