Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY: The Scan Coordinator Back- Up is responsible to Support the scan coordinator in all areas of price integrity; to adhere to all rules and requirements of the scan coordinator while providing weekly support or in their absence; to serve as a liaison between the service departments and the corporate office upon the absence of the scan coordinator


  • Observe and enforce all company rules and policies.
  • Observe and enforce all local, state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance at all times to set an example for others to follow; enforce company dress and grooming standards.
  • Actively support the IT team.
  • Familiarity with and the ability to perform all functions of the department.
  • Work with other departments to ensure proper tags are with products.
  • The ability to perform batch execution within the proper sequence.
  • Validation of batches and labels; results reported to the pricing department.
  • Provides weekly support and as required during scan coordinator absence.
  • Complete required duties within the time constraints allowed.
  • Validate parameter departments for pricing and COOL compliance.
  • Perform any other work-related duties as assigned.
  • Clock in and out hours worked.
  • In-store auto validation of 2000 items weekly.
  • Monitor product sales to ensure that production can be optimized to meet consumer demand and minimize the levels of unsold or stale grocery merchandise.
  • Assist in maintaining the building and equipment in maximum operational condition.
  • Implement the highest standards in a housekeeping program that ensures a clean, safe department.
  • Ensure that all personnel are safety-conscious and adhere to the safe method of performing their duties.
  • Protect company assets at all times.

  • Observe security standards by staying alert and aware of customer actions and behavior; report to manager or security any abnormal behavior
  • Maintain good communications in the department and throughout the organization.
  • Notify department manager of personnel situations or policy violations having an adverse effect on department or store operating performance or of situations requiring disciplinary action or that may potentially require such action.

  • High school diploma required or equivalent education.

  • One to two years experience in a grocery environment.

  • Possess analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with strong attention to details.

  • Ability to read, write, and understand the English language effectively in order to read and understand:
  • company handbooks, policies and procedures
  • other written jobrelated documents including safety notices and other postings on company bulletin boards.
  • Ability to fill out forms and compose and write reports.

  • Ability to prioritize and work with a sense of persistency and urgency.

  • Ability to anticipate and solve problems.

  • Ability to make sound decisions by using available resources and market information.

  • Be able to perform all duties and responsibilities in an efficient and satisfactory manner that meets the minimum standards for productivity, accuracy, cleanliness, harmony and safety established at the employer's individual site (normally measured but not necessarily limited to units of one or more of the following: total transaction throughput, unit time per task, sales per man hour, and/or cases, units, tasks or pounds per man hour).

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and use the hands to handle, finger, or feel objects, tools or controls.
