Upstream What you will do Lets do this. Lets change the world.
Amgen is seeking an entrylevel Associate to implement a variety of
production and technologyrelated operations in a largescale Pilot
Plant Upstream (cell culture) environment. The Pilot Plant delivers
data and material supporting process development of early and
latestage clinical biologic molecules and prototypes new
technologies to advance Amgens current and future biologics
manufacturing capabilities. Key Responsibilities: Perform handson
operation of current and future cell culture equipment, including:
Wave bioreactors Stainless steel and singleuse bioreactors ATFs and
associated equipment cleaning Support pilotscale upstream processes
from scaleup through harvest Execute production runs, experiments,
and technology development activities Support new product
introductions (NPI) and technology transfer Participate in
equipment commissioning and equipment design Design experiments and
analyze process data Document work through: Standard Operating
Procedures (SOPs) Electronic lab notebooks Manufacturing procedures
Presentations or meeting notes Summarize findings, identify process
challenges, and support future commercial process development Work
Environment: Fastpaced, handson Pilot Plant manufacturing
environment Frequent interaction with upstream process development,
NPI, and operations teams Focused on innovation, scalability, and
technology advancement for biologics manufacturing Work offhours or
nonstandard shifts as required by production schedules What we

seek is an individual with these qualifications. Basic
Qualifications: High school diploma / GED and 2years of
Manufacturing, Scientific or Operations experience; Or Associates
degree and 6 months of Manufacturing, Scientific or Operations
experience; Or Bachelors degree Preferred Qualifications: Strong
verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated analytical,
project management, and continuous improvement abilities Experience
working in GMP / GDPregulated environments Ability to work offhours

range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted.
Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not
limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications. In
